Hi there. I live in Florida right now and insurance rates are through the roof. Do I really need to buy auto insurance to drive a vehicle? I’ve never been in an accident, and I really want an affordable way of life.

Hi there Brad. Yeah, I hear prices of auto insurance in Florida are not very affordable these days. It’s relatively more expensive than in other parts of the USA. This is because of the increasing number of vehicular accidents that are happening over there every day. There are also an increasing number of uninsured people out there that makes it even riskier for drivers and pedestrians alike. All these contribute to the increase in the prices of auto insurance in Florida.

However, contrary to your thoughts on foregoing auto insurance, this must convince you to get even more insurance. If you are caught out in the streets without the proper insurance, you risk getting fined and getting your license and registration suspended. Also, if you get into an unfortunate situation, you will have to personally cover the costs of all damages to people or to property which may end up costing you more in the end. So please take my advice and make sure that you have more than enough auto insurance coverage before you go out cruising the streets of lovely Florida. If you think you need a better auto insurance rate than the one you currently have, how bout you shop around online and compare insurance quotes from the auto insurance companies? I bet you will find a great deal of savings if you do this.
