Many of yall know that Barklei has had some health problems and several thousand dollars later she’s much better! As soon as we thought he was better we took  her to the beach, I think we all needed it!
It took us quite a while for us to get insurance for her and thats something I totally regret. It’s something that I would suggest to all those who have dogs currently or plan on getting one. We found an amazing insurance called VPI, they cover everything! I was amazed when I looked through their website and saw they covered everything from routine shots to cancer! They’re really cheap and they  offer great discounts for multiple dogs too!

I am writing now because we just received a check for some dips we’ve had to give Barklei. I think a year it’s costing us $600 and we just received a check for $435 and she has her routine shots coming up within the next few months. I will say that we picked the most expensive package so if that feels like too much there are more options!

I’d say that getting insurance for your pet is just as important as getting insurance for your family. I may be stepping over my bounds by saying this but if you can’t afford insurance you probably shouldn’t get a pet. Sadly, a lot of times a pet doesn’t get the treatment it deserves without insurance and if they do typically the overly inflated vet bills are too much for an owner to handle.
